why do you think you got dinged last year after i/v? you must have done a post-moretem of some sorts. Gl this year, btw!

Sorry for the delayed response...been consciously trying to avoid the GC forums this year :)

I couldn't pin point exactly...but the i/v was definitely not the reason. The interviewer was all praise and I still turn to him for mentor-ship.
It very well could have been the timing of application and the highly competitive pool..I'm an Indian :)...
This year, I just had to apply to Stanford, since I did not want to live with knowledge that I went for an MBA to some other school and did not apply to Stan :)..and I also believed I had a stronger app...So keeping my fingers crossed...
ATB to all...

Hey could you share your profile. I mean i too am an indian and wanted to understand what it takes to get an interview call.

Also do you think Indian invites go out later during the round or do they go at the same time as others?

Thanks

Good luck to everyone else!

Guys who have got an interview invite, does the status on the website reflect that you have been invited to interview or does it just say that review is in process?

Interview invite at 1030 PST (while I was sleeping). Sweet.

Asian / 3.5yrs of Military WE / 3.3 from HYP / 770

Application status page stays the same. It's all by email. You have to email the admissions office when you decide on a time with your interviewer and email him/her your resume.

I could imagine that they might have some troubles in finding somebody in Germany who could interview me. Would it make sense to contact them and offer them to go to London, Berlin or Paris for an interview?

If they want to interview you, they will find a way to do so. Calling them won't achieve anything and would reflect poorly on your judgement IMO. I am sure there are interviewers near you - you probably wouldn't be the first person to go to Stanford from there.

For all of you who are planning your interviews and all us hopefuls who may get an interview call i found this and it is quite good

https://www.clearadmit.com/wiki/index.ph ... dInterview
(may be most of you would already know of this)
and also if you also post your interview experience there they would send a gift certificate of $10 (i liked the initiative even though its just a token amount :) )

All the best everyone.

Congratulations migaveli !
What time PST exactly did the invite arrive though? Aren't we Saturday today, are they sending out invites even during the weekend?
