why Stanford is not that popular among GC users?
Stanford has a very high number of applicant, around the same levels with CBS, NYU, Yale, Wharton etc. but the Stanford page is not very active. Only 52 pages or so, whereas the other schools have over 100 pages

Look at some of the other school threads--for instance, the HBS thread has about 12 consecutive pages of people obsessing over every email notification or blog post from the AdCom, trying to derive some hidden meaning from them that's just not there. Or count the number of posts that boil down to "maybe I'll get my interview invite today, or it might come tomorrow..." or the ones speculating about what time the next batch of invites will be released.

Quantity does not necessarily equal quality.

why Stanford is not that popular among GC users?

It's funny though - unlike the Harvard and Wharton threads, there's a marked lack of speculation in this thread. We need some paranoia in here to keep things interesting. Otherwise how can we obsess endlessly about waiting for our invites?

lol agreed but why does not the same population make the comments in this thread. It is probably because Stanford does not really provide any information to even speculate on.

So HBS/Wharton threads are full of speculation about invites while the Stanford thread fills with speculation about its own comparative lack of speculation... Seems roughly in line with the "what matters most and why" spirit of the application.

7 of 17 invites on last year's thread came after this point. Would imply 8-10 to go on here, assuming the 13 this year are a reflection of increased forum membership rather than speed of processing or random variation.

taking the conservative view that it reflects higher number of invites out on the front end vs. increased activity, then it might not be a good sign for all of us still waiting. i wish they would just release an update ....
