lol agreed but why does not the same population make the comments in this thread. It is probably because Stanford does not really provide any information to even speculate on.

I'm all for this.

GCers with invites - when you submit your application? (app review submit time trend?) haha doubtful

So HBS/Wharton threads are full of speculation about invites while the Stanford thread fills with speculation about its own comparative lack of speculation... Seems roughly in line with the "what matters most and why" spirit of the application.

7 of 17 invites on last year's thread came after this point. Would imply 8-10 to go on here, assuming the 13 this year are a reflection of increased forum membership rather than speed of processing or random variation.

Outcomes of last year's interviews, by time of invite, further bear this out:

Jan 20 - Accepted
Feb 1 - Dinged
Feb 2 - Dinged
Feb 4 - Waitlist
Feb 8 - Dinged
Feb 8 - Dinged
Feb 10 - Waitlist
Feb 15 - Waitlist
Feb 19 - Accepted
Feb 20 - Dinged?
Feb 25 - Accepted
Mar 3 - Accepted
Mar 4 - Dinged
Mar 5 - Accepted
Mar 8 - Accepted
Mar 8 - Accepted
Mar 9 - Dinged

taking the conservative view that it reflects higher number of invites out on the front end vs. increased activity, then it might not be a good sign for all of us still waiting. i wish they would just release an update ....

Tuck has put me on Waitlist, Wharton dinged at sight without even talking first... BUT Stanford gave me interview invite!!!!!!!

wow

I've not had a faintest hope of it... And may all the schools ding me in the end, I think this admission cycle was rather fortunate for me. :)

Do not know if I'm making any sense to you, but I'm happy :)

Never mind, found the answer just a few pages earlier - page 52 for others looking for the answer.
