I'm in at Kellogg for the dual degree MMM program...but would happily "settle" for one degree from the GSB! :)

Happy to see more optimistic people here!

EDIT: Yup! Newtons. And they're AMAZING. Highly recommend them :)

Sweet - hey Nerdtastic - we may be classmates. I too would take a single Stanford degree over the MMM though in a heartbeat!
I wish they'd hurry up and send us the interview invites already :-D (Note how I'm assuming they will)...

Any thoughts on correlation between date of interview invitation and the school's view on the strength of your application?

So i've got a dilemma. I am will be waiting on Wharton on the 24th and Stanford on the 30th.
Those are my two available options (only 2 interviews received).
Should I wait until the 30th to open my Wharton together with Stanford?
I just fear that if Wharton is a no, i will be a complete wreck for the next 6 days waiting on the answer from Stanford.

Anyone else can commiserate? Anyone else in the same situation?

Admissions has repeatedly and emphatically stated that there is no correlation.

DB calls all admitted applicants on the 29th so you'll find out sooner than that. Don't know about W, but I imagine they make phone calls at some point?

Thanks for sharing that you got an invite. Care to share more about when, where, or anything that would keep hope alive for us?

For anyone who gets an invite in the coming days, pls share the good news if you can, it'll keep hope alive.

thanks for sharing your thoughts.
DB really calls everyone himself? Oh no - that means if i dont' get a call on 29th it's a no!
I really can't take all this uncertainty. I'll be a wreck for the whole day on the 29th now.

I got my invite pretty early on, i'm afraid - in first week of Feb.

I guess that you could not wait 6 days to open Wharton's decision email :-D.

I waited just one day to open my Chicago Booth's decision email ( it came on Wednesday evening and I opened it on Thursday evening) and it was like a century. Face the decision anyway, whatever it is, you've tried your best.

I honestly believe up until the getting the rejection letter that there is a chance for an interview with GSB...

Got into HBS R1 and applied to GSB R2. (I can hear tiny violins playing somewhere) I would much prefer GSB, but... looks like the chances are slim (but not gone yet!)

ffong
I'll take that! :)

PS: Any lucky people in here already got in somewhere?

When I visited Stanford, I specifically asked the admissions officer what the last day of getting an interview invite was, and he said March 30th notification day. I'm not sure how the timing works out, but like it was said before, until I get a ding, I'm not going to give up hope. Have some faith guys! There's also a chance to get waitlisted... I'm gonna keep praying for a miracle :)

So if you call and listen to the message at the GSB, they say that interview invites will be sent out up until 3/30. I wonder how they decide so quickly for that lucky person who receives the interview on 3/30! Hope that helps everyone still waiting for an interview invite. I also think that the interview invites that are a few days from the deadline may have a slight advantage. Why would the AdCom go through the trouble to interview someone so close to the decision deadline if they weren't really interested in admitting an applicant? That's just a thought.

Yeah, I wonder how that would work given that DB personally calls every applicant starting the day before the notification date.

No idea, but I'm guessing they've reviewed all applications by this point and prioritized who they want. I think they are reviewing the results of the interviews and trying to see if something negative came up. If yes, they probably have a strong list of candidates that they could go pick from to interview at the last minute and replace that candidate. It's easy to tack on a few admits for DB at the end, he has lots of phone calls to make!
