Here's a long shot. Did anyone with an I/v invitation also apply for the P4D fellowship?

Wow that's really encouraging. Congrats!!! I hope those people that interview late get admitted too. I can't imagine the combination of joy from an invite followed by a rejection a week later.

good luck and congratulations!!!!

Hey guys, I had my Stanford interview this morning...I think it went pretty well but the questions were certainly challenging. Started out with "Why GSB?" but then went into very behavioral questions. "Tell me about a time when you..." - in just about every form imaginable. I had about 7 or 8 of these types of questions, with follow-up questions - he wanted to know details! Make sure you have plenty of leadership, teamwork, impact examples ready. My interviewer was very friendly and we discussed his experience there at the end, and I asked him several questions. 45 mins on the dot. Good luck!

Thank you for this, very helpful. I'm interviewing this week, and figured it'd be less "Tell me about a time when you..." and more "Let's get to know each other/Why GSB?"

From the site, looks like the decision is on the 30th - but interview invites are still sent out up until the same date. How does this work?

Yea, apparently the trend towards behavioral questions is new this year. And there's speculation about the interview invites up until the decision date, no one really knows for sure but I'm guessing for the last few (probably less than 20) invites they send for interviews after March 23 (you have a week to complete the interview) they'll tell the applicants what will happen (I'd guess waitlist temporarily, or delayed decision)

Trying to still stay positive...

Check the history on this thread. I officially gave up hope last week. However...

After talking with my friends last weekend, I've now changed my tune and decided that my invite is just one of the few later ones. If I'm going to fail, at least I'll fail big, and be happy and confident for the week leading up to it. If this sets me up for crushing disappointment, that's fine; I can handle it. It's just more fun to live with confidence that things will work out in your favor.

So, hope restored. I wish you the best of luck, and I'm sure you're a great guy that any b-school would be lucky to have!

I find it pretty weird to still have not heard anything back from Stanford. Hopefully it is a good thing and means that they are really looking at each application in detail, but there hasn't been a peep. Starting to get depressed, but won't completely until after the end of the month.

Stats in case anybody wondered:

BS. Physics, BA Economics w/ 3.7 GPA, 740 GMAT w/ 6.0 Writing, 2.5 years Financial experience

Stanford doesn't release any info till ike the last day or two before the deadline. if you don't get a call during that time, it is waitlist or ding

For those who have been interviewed, do we know when Stanford starts calling people who get in? Is it just the day before the official release (Tuesday), or could the calls start two days before (Monday)? Good luck to all.

I read through last year's thread a while back and it seemed the calls for the past two rounds (R2 last year, R1 this year) were done over the first 12-16hrs of the day before the release date (i.e. starting 1am PST on the 29th for us), starting in China/India and working west. Prior to that, the historical pattern seemed to be calls starting the evening before the release date. Suggests Monday calls are unlikely but it could either be an exciting Tuesday morning or a looong afternoon...

Got the invite. I guess they weren't kidding when they said they send them out through the 30th.
While it's true that to hope is to risk pain, what's life without hope?
Good luck everyone!
