Ding! No big deal... I landed a few dream schools. I'll have to find a way to get to warmer climates through my career post grad school. Congrats to those who made it through. It's an amazing accomplishment and I look forward to someday working with many of you!
Waitlisted....anyone know what that means at GSB in terms of #s? They said they have waitlisted 110 candidates this round, which is a huge number given class size so probably very poor odds...
Dinged somehow I don't feel the pain...kinda knew from the beginning itself that it was a big shot but was definitely worth a try. Now I won't have regret later that I didn't try
congrats again to those who got accepted. Its nice to see so many people with so many accomplishments
Ughghhhhhhhhhhhhh waitlisted. Now for the long, drawn out painful wait with even dimmer (but still present) hope than the original application..

What the hell? My letter said there were 75 applicants in the R1 waitpool..
To fellow waitlisters - were you interviewed or were you placed on the WL without an interview? I hear that Stanford does both. Does anyone know the difference between the two?

I was interviewed and then placed on the waitlist.
Sorry - now I'm confused. I see the 75 # on waitlist (at bottom of letter). But if you click on the Waitpool FAQ link in the confirmation email, it goes to a PDF which says "~This round we selected approximately 110 candidates for the waitpool". Not sure which one is correct but hoping for 75.
