Does anyone know how in-state tuition works? Would we be able to qualify for in-state tuition the 2nd yr of the program?
Texas is one iof the states that makes it more difficult to establish residency so you will likely not be eligible for in-state tuition...they explain the requirement on the UT website.
It seems that you may be able to establish residency for the 2nd yr... this is a big deal since the difference in tuition is something like 10-15k?
According to the UT website:
"Q. What do I need to do, or what documents do I need to fill out when I apply for Residency?
A. A prospective student must have an admission application on file before submitting the Residency Core Questions or the Residency Affadavit. Currently enrolled students may submit the Residency Core Questions once they or their parents have lived here for 11 consecutive months. "
So according to this, it seems that it is not difficult to apply for residency for the 2nd yr.... thoughts?
