Still no update. Checked the status page and it's still the same. Ha, makes me wonder if they just forgot about me...

But seriously, at this point, I'm just assuming they are holding a spot for me to lose and are waiting to see if someone else better comes a long to give it to. Why else for such a long and drawn out wait? Total confidence booster...

IMO waitlisted candidates will be hearing back from the Adcom anytime between now and summer.
International waitlisted candidates should know Adcom's decision before summer tho. McCombs won't be able to issue F1 on two days notice.

Found out this morning - waitlisted. 29/M/760/corp strategy-biz dev...interviewed Feb. 19. So far dinged from H/W/S/Columbia/Booth.

Not too happy but oh well. Will travel to Austin next week for fun and hope to speak to someone about my case while I'm there. Now to wait for the Kellogg ding..

Let me preface this by I'm probably over analyzing. I've received two calls in the past two weeks that were "restricted." When Vicki calls the admits, what number does she use?

There is also an e-mail that comes with it, correct?

I don't think Vicki used a "restricted" number. When I was called it was just some number, I don't remember the area code.. but its probably Austin's for obvious reasons. About 10 mins after the call, I received an email. Hope this helps

Someone said theirs showed "unknown". I, along with some others, received an email instructing us to call her. I think there was someone who missed her call and a voice mail instructing to call was left.

Agreed. What gives? I called the admissions office yesterday about my status and talked to a girl named Rachel. She wasn't an admin person and said that all the admin people were gone this week for spring break, but she did say I should get a decision within 10-12 weeks (as the website says) from when I submit my application. I'm going on 13 weeks right now, including their Christmas/winter break, so I'm beyond anxious at this point.

On another subject, I've gotten some helpful essay review from a two guys - one at Duke and another at Columbia. Both discussed with me their essays, and now I totally feel like I failed to use my essays to express my strengths and uniqueness. Basically, I'm an architect, and have many unique characteristics that I didn't discuss because they just seemed typical to me at the time (relative to other architects). Is there a possibility of re-writing my essays or modifying them before a decision is made or if I'm placed on the waitlist?

Pretty sure it was either this number, 512-475-7391,from the e-mail "Your Application for Admission to UT Austin" I received after submitted; or the phone number from the Dean's letter on the "Application Home" page where you check the status of your application.

You will be better off applying next year. McCombs is on rolling admissions, but I would imagine that most of the seats are pretty much taken, or will be taken by those who are waiting on a decision. Unless you have stellar stats and cannot wait until next year, I would not suggest applying now.

For what its worth, my application was not completed until the 15th and I have an interview at the end of the week...I figured they wouldnt interview me if there were not spots left.
