Congratulations!! That is great news. Hope your interview went well. Please do share a debrief of your interview as I am sure it will benefit everyone here who plans to apply in the coming months.
Thanks.
Thank you!! Good idea -- I just submitted a debrief, hopefully that is helpful for people!

Hey thank you so much. This is great and very helpful. All the very best with the decision.
Hi CBSaspirant very interesting about a one week turnaround, have you heard about that from several people? Has not been my experience.... good luck on an admit for J-term.
CBSaspirant
Hi, I too have applied for J term entry and I interviewed on 22Jun 2019 and my interviewer submitted the feedback on the same day.
Have you heard back from CBS yet? Doesn’t CBS usually notify accepted candidates within a week?
The email I got from them said to expect a final decision within 14 days. So I would say give it a little more time because they're quoting 2 weeks. I had my interview feedback submitted 6/19 and haven't heard back yet, so I wouldn't read into it at all if it's been a week and you haven't heard back yet. I think we will likely get some responses in the next week or so. Good luck everyone!
Hi, I was wondering if j term would be a good fit for me if I wanted to move within my industry. I have about 6 years of experience in the financial services industry (non managerial, back office). Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Shafterson, only if your goal position does not require an internship, which is rarely the case in financial services. And career services would need to be convinced that this is your goal and you could achieve it without an internship. Maybe speak to contacts you have - who plan to hire you once you have an MBA. They key is, no internship needed and going without one will not put you at a disadvantage.

That is awesome Zakyfish22 congrats! Happy for you.
Can you share a bit about your profile here (beyond stats) for others?
What did you state as your goal, what is your career arc and why are you OK without an internship (family business, returning to MBB, whatevs.) How do you feel you established fit?

Sure...here's a little more on my background. 28 year old white male working for family business in private equity in the US. As far as stats...740 GMAT (50Q/40V/8IR/6AWA) and 4.0 GPA from an ivy league undergrad [math/econ major]. I want to get the full time MBA experience but because I'm returning to my family PE business, don't need a traditional summer internship.I think being in a family business establishes a logical fit for J-term. Additionally, I did an online class visit and also an on-campus info session. I also talked with a few current students. As far as goals, I polished up the verbiage around it in my essays but the basic idea was to build up my professional network and also accounting knowledge from classes so I could one day take over and lead my family's PE firm.
awesome, very helpful, thanks! i doubt it was a hard decision for them!

Congratulation Zakyfish on being admitted to Columbia Business School!
Will I be notified once my interviewer submits her feedback? And what is the normal time for her to do so? I was interviewed 3 days ago and started to worry that the feedback is still not submitted..

Hi Applicant21,
Welcome to GMATCLUB! Yes you will be notified when your interviewer submits the feedback. I have normally seen interviewer submit the feedback that same day so I recommend that you reach out to your interviewer in a day or two if you still do not receive a notification for the feedback submission. You should also hear on your final decision within a week of your feedback. Since Columbia follows rolling admissions you do not want your feedback to be delayed a lot. Btw when did you apply?
When I submitted the application, I marked as "retaking the GMAT within 3 weeks". Do CBS will only review my application after I submit the updated GMAT score?
Due to the rolling basis admission, I worry that my application review will be delayed because I told them I will retake the exam.
