Hello, everyone!
If the interviewer asks to walk through the resume, normally how much time I must spend? Should I just talk about degree, titles and certificates or should I provide some details as well?
Secondly, is it recommended to share reflections after most of the stories or general story sharing is considered good enough?
A 2.5 min- 3 minute answer is usually good.
You should not focus only on titles and do not talk about certificates at all. You must briefly tell your journey - academic, professional and extra curricular. B-schools want to see that you were intentional in your choices and the path that you followed, so give some details without being too elaborate. Leave a few hooks about your biggest milestones/ achievements/ pivots that the interviewer may question you on, further in the interview.
For the behavioural questions, use the STAR approach and do add a reflection, a summary or a learning at the end, depending upon the question being asked or where the flow of your storytelling takes you. Its adds a neat end to the story and sums up the takeaway for the reader while showing how you process situations.
