I spoke with another applicant this AM; adcom told them the original release dates were incorrect on the website, and that decisions are being released on a rolling basis through the 25th.

I'm still holding out hope for this week!

June 14th was published for the longest time. How’re they going to change that all of a sudden?? Truly unfair!

That really doesn't make sense since they've also been saying June 14th in their webinars and conversations I've had with adcom. Very disappointed and hoping they'll let us know sooner. Do you think if we contact adcom directly, they'll be able to tell us if our app has been reviewed yet?

If you need to make security deposit decisions very soon, I don't think it would hurt to request an application review. I've asked other schools for an expedited review and they were cordial in response.

Not yet, I also asked for an expedited application review, since my deposits for two other programs are due on June 15th.

I noticed the June 14th date is still listed at the bottom of the home page on the FEMBA website.

Has anyone heard anything?

Thank you!

I got into Haas and if I get into Anderson, I think I would probably choose Anderson because LA seems cheaper overall, better weather, and more chill environment. I would appreciate if you guys can chime in to help me decide.

There’s two different dates. I reached out to admissions and they advised they will get back to me today.

My company has an office in SF and LA and I would be relocating to either one. I live in NYC btw.

I actually moved from NY to SF 3 years ago and moved to LA last year. SF is nice but it wasn’t for me. One thing is that it’s crazy expensive to live a decent area and I didn’t like having 5 roommates. I lived in a nice area but it wasn’t central to everything, but at least I could park my car in the street and not worry about someone breaking into it. Also the weather is ehh in SF you almost always need a hoodie. The people are great and everyone is super open minded and ambitious.

Contrast with LA I love it here the weather is always great. You can live in a central location and not pay an arm and a leg to live alone. LA is also a lot cleaner. People here are ambitious but a lot calmer so it’s nice. Personally I love being outdoors so it’s a great to live a 10 min drive from so many hiking spots. The traffic does suck at times but LA is definitely my favorite city by far.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing your experience. That’s what I’ve been hearing too. NYC is really expensive, but it seems SF is even pricer. LA seems to be the cheapest option and the weather is great all year around. I heard traffic is bad, but I’m from NYC and traffic is bad here too, hopefully driving out of off peak hours will be fine. But I was really hoping Anderson would’ve gotten back to us by now. Would be nice to know it’s on the table.

I moved to LA in 2013 from Florida. I have to admit that it did take me a bout a good 5-ish years to get used to it, but it's cool now. I think the thing you have to do is find your "thing"/"group" to identify with. For me it all started to come together when my wife and I got season tickets for LAFC (the new MLS team here). Then it felt like we were more a part of something. There's definitely still pricey areas, specifically the areas around or convenient to UCLA, but there's plenty of options that are more affordable than SF.
