For those who were interviewed on-campus -- were you interviewed by a 2nd year student or someone from the admissions staff? Mine was a 2nd year student and it seems as though all others who posted also had a 2nd year student...

Not really of any importance, just curious.

Just got an interview invite. I'm an R2 candidate.

My status on applyyourself website changed about 2 hours prior to receiving the e-mail(it definitely could've been more because I checked randomly).

Just got my interview invite as well. I haven't checked my status today but it used to read "application is complete for review" Does anybody know if they have on-campus interviews on the weekend? I assume not...

I received an interview invite on Feb 23rd as well. R2 candidate that submitted on the deadline of 1/5. I'm working on setting up an off-campus interview in the Bay Area with an alum.

Based on past experiences of others (I have got none so far), if it changed in the last 4 hours then you can hope to get an invite on Monday. Those who got their status changed either got the invite within 6 hour window (across days too) or never got it. I may be wrong though. My status is still the same. Wish you good luck!

I interviewed with a 2nd year student on-campus for R2, but if you look at some of the R1 posters, they interviewed with an admissions staff member and/or a 2nd year student.

Just logged in this morning to see that my status had changed to "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round." I have no idea when the change happened - It could have been this morning or earlier in the week...I'm still gonna hold out hope to get the interview invite on Monday. Quick question...did anyone get a status change email before they got the interview invite email, or are people just checking their application status frequently?

There is no status change e-mail. People just check the page for about 1024 times a day, nothing special (myself included).

Good luck on your change. Hope it changes your off-line status, not just the on-line one :)

Hey my status changed from "Your application is complete for committee review." to "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round." before getting the interview invite. Don't lose hope yet! No one knows what process they have in place for sending out the interview invites. I have a friend who works for a B school admissions and she mentioned how they send invites by region ( and I think UCLA probably does this as well). I had applied few days before the deadline and I had kinda given up my hope when people who submitted an hour before the deadline started getting interview invites. Now hoping my interview goes well...

Aside from the 44%/29% split reflected for Interview Invites/Admitted last year, does anyone else have any substantive data on trends for this year? It seems to me that a pretty good volume of interview invites have gone out. The GC data shows >50% have been invited and >%30 have been accepted in round one. This tells me that either a bunch of slots were filled in R1 (which is bad for R2'ers) or application volume has gone down.

I rarely speculate and agree that "what happens happens," but I am bored :-).

I'm probably stating the obvious. :-D

It's rather difficult to compare the two pools(the pool of the universe that includes all applicants from last year and the pool of GC members). Initial difficulty stems from the fact that, although last year's application numbers should approximate current year's application numbers, it would still be somewhat naive to assume the parallel between the current year's universe numbers and the last year's universe numbers.

Additionally, even assuming that the current year approximates last year quite well, the applicant pool from GC will likely differ from the pool of the universe.
