I interviewed before submitting the application - but I heard about 4 weeks after submitting the app (a full month before their stated deadline).

The email didnt say anything, but they called me the day before the email to tell me the size of my offer. Also, when you receive the packet (which is very nice) it will spell things out. I was offered a pretty substantial sum - practically full tuition. Maybe thats why they called me ahead?

Good luck! In the end I will not be attending Vandy, but it was more for personal reasons than the school. Everyone I spoke to was great!

Congratulations johnrt! :-D
I hope I am not too late. The email I recieved didnt say anything about a scholarship but when I later the same day logged into my online application I saw the scholarship offer on top. The package I recieved had more details of the scholarship.

Yeah...thanks for the replies. A lady from admissions actually called me today to congratulate me on being accepted. She let me know that my admissions binder should arrive in a few days and that they were offering me 18K. Good news.

It is interesting to see how many people applied to both UNC and Vandy. I've even met a few that also applied to UW!

Figured it was time to update this. Congrats knowshonmoreno and johnrt2001! GMATClubbers and doing really well with Owen! Ultimately, I had to make a decision by February 15, and won't be attending. I really like the school and it was a tough choice to make. westsider, I saw your note. Have any other R1ers made their decision?

I too have decided not to attend. It was a tough choice -- Vandy seems like a really great place to be. Also hard to turn down the scholarship money......

Man it's intimidating being the only Applied still sitting waiting for any word. I interviewed about 3 weeks ago, and based on the responses of other clubbers here it sounds like if you're a "in" they seem to call at around the 2 week mark.. Looks as though a waitlist or ding may be in my future...only time will tell.

Nah, thunder, I wouldn't resign yourself to that. The time between my interview and a response was 5 months! Anyway, I'm sure it won't be long before they'll let you know. And good luck, of course.

I had my interview on Dec 7 and got the final decision on Jan 15.

So maybe i was a bit ahead of myself. Got the call today from vanderbilt and i'm in with a 20k scholarship offer.
Vanderbilt will definitely play a significant role in my final decision moving forward. My first notification, feels good to be 1/1 haha somehow i'm sure i won't go 100%.

I was told this has been the most selective incoming class, i think i was told apps were up 50% or something. The average GMAT of accepted students is 670.
