The call was from John around 7 ET last night. He just wanted to give the good news before they break for the holidays. He said my status would be updated on the website on Friday.

Nothing major in terms of details, but he did mention what a competitive round it was. So it was great to hear I made the cut!

I'll post my profile later today. I guess it's time......

Congrats GMATforFal, I guess with the big scholarship I won't be seeing you at Emory in the Fall. That is, of course, unless Emory gave you money too and I didn't know about it. Anyways, best of luck with your decisions.

Hm...is anyone else who applied in R1 still waiting for a decision? I know the deadline is Jan 15, although I had been told decisions should be out by the first of the year.

But with GMAT hearing and MSF students having heard...are all decisions out? I'm anxious to hear about myself!

Ill be more candid later on once I know all my options

letter said 75% increase in apps from last year...damn!!!!!!

I havent heard any $$ news either, in fact I did not get an email or anything, I just checked my online status and it said I was in, givin last years class profile I thought I would get at least some $$ but with 75% increase in apps I have no idea what this years profile could be

Well, again, many congratulations to you!

Honestly, it's made my afternoon more exciting, because my phone has rang twice with the caller ID saying "Unavailable", so my stomach would jump thinking it may be Vanderbilt. Alas, no such luck. I'll hold out hope though...

Was it someone in admissions who called? Something along the lines of "just calling to let you know we'll pay for you to go to school here!"?

Again, that is awesome mbahunter!

This has been asked on some of the other threads, but don't think it has been asked on the Vandy thread. I am finishing up my essays and am slightly over the word count on both of them (514 and 519).

To those who have been accepted, were you over the word count on either essay?
