With thanks to emoryhopeful for the inspiration, Vanderbilt's another one that hasn't got any love as of yet, so I figured I would see if anyone else in here is planning on applying. I visited the school about a month ago (just before classes started) and thought it was great. Just about finished with the application. sent my app in R1, just found out this week...the school said this has been the most selective R1 process in their history

Congrats Miami and vikramjit! Miami, I got notified about scholarship after the initial acceptance email. They told me when they called to congratulate me on being accepted.

Just had my interview about twenty minutes ago over the phone. It seemed to go real well. Since it was my fourth interview, I am starting to get a handle on all the questions.

I'll keep y'all posted; I applied for round 2 obviously.

Yes, I did interview with John. He is generally pretty reachable - and a fantastically friendly guy! I noticed the caller ID on the call IS NOT his extension. When I finally stopped hanging up on the "voicemail" I realized it was a recording telling me that I was dialing the wrong number =)

Just got an email from Vandy - I have been accepted (although no mention of scholarship money).

Miami,

when did you have your interview? Was it before the RD2 deadline, or after? I applied RD2 and have my telephone interview tomorrow. I'm just interested in h earing how long you had to wait post-interview before you heard. Seems real fast for a RD2 application, so i'm suddnely pretty interested in how quickly i might hear back after i finish my interview tomorrow.
