Your cumulative GPA isn't messy at all. Mine is 3.09 and I was admitted. I think as long as you can prove that once you found your fit, in your case changing your major from Biology to Finance, you were well focused and primed for success, as it's shown in your later GPA.
Will you be pursuing health care MBA? If yes I can see why you put Owen as your first choice - Last time I checked Owen has a great reputation for health care MBA.
I wouldn't worry too much about your E/C as long as you had other solid activities that you mentioned on your application. I think we all need to pick and choose the strongest and most influential E/C that will aid the application.
You'll love the city and the school - again, they're just all nice folks willing to help and wanting to get to know you. I think KPrizzle lives in Nashville so you might want to PM him/her. I am away from Nashville for now but I guarantee that you won't regret visiting. Have fun and good luck!

I am on the fast track toward applying to Owen. I just decided a month ago to finally pursue the full time MBA. I am applying to Univ. of TN, and since I just received a 760 on my first practice GMAT, thought I would give Owen a shot. I had assumed that there was no chance of acceptance so wasn't going to bother. I especially like the application fee...shows a lot of class in my opinion.
My GPA is only 2.95, but that includes some horrendous semesters early in my college career. My GMAT is scheduled for Jan. 10 and I have a visit scheduled for Jan. 16. Hopefully I can rock the GMAT.

Hi,
I received an email about Vandy visiting Boston MBA Fair and the email proposed candidates (whatever leg of application process they are) to schedule an evaluative interview. I applied in R2 but guess my dismal score of 660 and a weak work profile are reasons to no response from the Adcoms. I did not get a proper interview invite and as I learn from this forum. R2 applicants had their interviews and admits long before the Christmas break. I am little disheartened!
Please advise if holding an evaluative interview is any good? Is it advisable in my case to schedule an interview? and has there been any admits after evaluative interview? All inputs invited?
