I've read through last years thread and it looks like CBS offers waitlisted candidates a chance to speak with admissions on the phone. Has anyone heard back from their waitlist manager, and had this call?

i did. basically they just ask if you have any questions about the process and ask that you send them an email update every so often about updates in your life (work changes, vacations you've gone on, etc). pretty informal discussion. i've been on the waitlist now for three weeks. would love to hear if anyone has gotten off yet.

That's helpful, thanks. I do appreciate that they don't just leave you hanging there. Good luck to everyone, this is tough.

Was on it from September until end of January: did everything I could. (Retook gmat, new job, new volunteer, new startup role, etc. u name it, I probably did all). Still didn't get off the list. The pain was/is still excruciating!!!! Good luck to you guys. Not to discourage you guys. But manage your expectations. I know friends who have and haven't gotten off waitlist. It's kinda out of your hands.

today I had a call with my waitlist manager. She was very nice during the conversation and she also mentioned that the Committee haven't meet yet so they expect to meet in a couple of days and that the WL is reviewed every time they meet.

Hi Icarus10. She said to be in contact once every two weeks.

I spoke with the waitlist manager almost 2 weeks ago and she told me that they will likely meet next week. Not sure how true that still is but I hope that information is helpful to someone.

That makes sense given that most peer schools release their R2 decisions over the next few days, I expect they will see who pulls out of the wait list after receiving other offers and then make offers to who they like from the remainders.

Icarus10 and Tongua - are you going to remove yourselves from the waitlist now that you've gotten a wharton accept?

I was planning on waiting for the results from Booth and Kellogg so I have all the information to assess then letting CBS know early next week when I have made a decision.

Hopefully there's some action on the waitlist after all the R2 decisions.

Any idea if an admit to another M7 school is something that should be shared to the CBS waitlist manager? Is that of any interest to them?

I was admitted to Yale with a scholarship, but am still waitlisted at CBS. Do you think it's important to share with my waitlist manager the details of my scholarship at Yale, or should I just refer to its existence?
