The wait just got extended Message from Warwick :- "We can confirm that we have received your application however due to the significantly high volume of applications received at the application deadline we are extending the shortlisting decision date until Friday 19th February 2021."

Has anyone else received the below email? "I am writing to inform you that the Selection Committee has completed an initial review of your application. The recommendation from the Committee is that your application be placed on a waiting list whilst we review all applications submitted for the current round of admission. This decision was due to the exceptionally strong competition and high volume of applications received. All applications on the waiting list will receive a decision by 26th March 2021 at the latest. "

I see 3 other decisions updated on the tracker today. 2 more have been waitlisted (3 including you) and 1 has been denied until now.

Thanks for the reply. I have a GMAT of 680 and a WE of 3.7 years. I am just curious that do they waitlist even before the interview itself? Also, did you get an invite or any update today ?

Hi, I haven't received anything yet. And yes, the waitlist means you are shifted either to the next round or until R2 applications interviews are completed and once they have a fair idea of vacant places, they will start sending interview calls to the Waitlisted candidates. Usually, colleges fill around 25-30% from the waitlists at the end as many people defer or opt for other schools.

I have also been put on waitlist.. I had submitted my application without a GMAT score..

ApoorwaM You have not appeared for GMAT yet? There was no place in the application for GMAT score submission. Though, it was recommended that you add GMAT score report under Transcripts section or else they would have asked in any case before taking decision on your application.

I actually have not taken the GMAT yet, I'm preparing for it currently, and plan to give by first week of March or sooner. Since Warwick was accepting application without score, I took a chance, as the next deadline was too late for international applicants, being in May. In many cases they give contingent/conditional offers to attain a score within specified time. Anyhoo, now I've time till 26th March.
