I am part of the R2 bandwagon too. A bruised and battered R1er

Just got an e-mail confirming my R2 application. Here is some information that was in the e-mail...

"The Admissions Committee will begin to release interview invitations on Thursday, January 17th and will continue to release invitations on a daily basis until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, February 21st. Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released. Also on February 21st, the Committee will release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission."

Interesting sidenote...one of my company's biggest clients (either 2nd or 3rd) just got bought out by UPenn Health System. UPenn Health System is taking over their medical billing and all related matters(which is one of the main functions of my company). Therefore, if I do not get admitted to Wharton, I'm getting doubly screwed.

Wharton, you cannot doubly screw me? Can you?

Hi guys. I submitted 12/31.

I've just been pushed to R3 because my transcripts arrived by fax too late and not translated from French... Not a happy man atm.

No I called myself to send them the transcripts by fax, it was apparently too late - it's my fault anyway, should have bee more careful. What really drives me nuts is that they are not receivable because they are not translated. I dunno where they write that, but I didn't see it on the website...

Might as well forget Wharton.

Did you not use the self-reported transcript excel sheet? I thought that was sufficient, and they you could sent your official transcript later?

You could also scan and upload the transcripts right? I hope thats fine...

I sure hope so because that's what I did. I did not use the self-reported form.
I think you can choose to upload either the copy of the transcript or the self-reported form.

I officially quit work end of this week and will head back to India to do one (or two) pre-MBA iternships. I will also try in squeeze in some travel before school starts. One great and not so great thing about Wharton is the pre-term which starts on July 28th. It great cause it prepares you well for your core classes and you get to know your classmates one full month earlier. Not so great cause the same month could have been spent on the coast of brazil!
