I guess my update didnt register properly

Congrats to all the R2 admits! Must feel like a huge relief. I hope all of you get interviews and admissions - good luck. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions on interiviews or any other process.

I officially quit work end of this week and will head back to India to do one (or two) pre-MBA iternships. I will also try in squeeze in some travel before school starts. One great and not so great thing about Wharton is the pre-term which starts on July 28th. It great cause it prepares you well for your core classes and you get to know your classmates one full month earlier. Not so great cause the same month could have been spent on the coast of brazil!

out of curiosity, is the preterm required? What is it for?

Preterm is required. There is some heavy-duty academic stuff, as well as a lot of parties, etc. It's supposed to be a great bonding experience for the first-year class.

DJM- if you're headed back to India, am I assuming you won't be at Winter Welcome?

Everyone- I'd be happy to help out with interview prep, etc. as well.

Is there anyone admitted to Wharton R1 but holding out for other schools? When is the deadline for R1 admits to respond with their decision of the offer? thanks for your input

Terry12, I dont think I will make it to the winter welcome. I have done the India US trip few too many times in the last 6 months and I dont think I can do another one so close to my trip coming up.

Are you planning on attending? I do think that I will come a few days before the spring welcome to do some apartment hunting. As of right now, I am thinking of buying vs renting, but will see how it goes.

DJM- I can understand completely about the US-India trip. I only do it every few years (to see my extended family), and even those infrequent trips leave me exhausted

I'll definitely be heading to Winter Welcome. I'd like to meet the R2 admits (hoping that group includes lots o' GmatClubbers!) at spring welcome, but not so sure I'll be able to get time off.

If u submit everything, I wouldn't worry about it.

It will say complete round 2 throughout the process until decisions are sent out.

Did you look carefully? It has another line for "Complete - Round 2".
This is what mine says:

Mine just turned from received to complete round 2 yesterday afternoon.

pandyrav, try not to worry too much, if you look at the round one trend, some people who got their round 1 complete status sooner than others were among the last ones to get interviews. Maybe yours will change today...!
