Its definitely not easy...Here in India, it is going to be one Friday night for all applicants who interviewed.

Hopefully it will be a moment to celebrate the biggest life changing weekend of our lives!

It feels like life has stopped, I really can't concentrate on anything else...

My suggestion to the team is try and find something to do at work or home on Friday so that you aren't glued to the computer and pressing refresh every 5 seconds (it makes you so much more nervous and frightened). Trust me, refreshing your email all day on Friday will make the waiting process so much worse.

I would suggest trying to find something to keep you busy on Friday (for example I volunteered to work at one of our Retail stores) to make the day go by a little easier...

Agreed! I'm actually going out of the country and will be 4 hrs ahead of US time so will try to not check all day (unless I get a phone call with the good news) and then maybe around 8pm I'll look. But hey this is just me trying to sound all rational. Friday may bring a whole different set of emotions. LOL

Hi all,

Will Wharton call admitted applicants before the email, or does the email go out first to everyone, followed by calling to admitted applicants? What has been the method in previous years?

Similar question regarding calls. I went through last year's posts, but it was a little unclear - seems like people with fellowships and/or joint programs (e.g. Lauder) got calls a few hours before the notification (which was around noon/1 pm)? Does that sound right? Wondering if the calls may even happen the night before or whether they were mostly the morning of.

Thanks!

They can't get all the calls out before the emails go. Waiting for the email is probably your best bet. I got my notification (wait-list) around 1:00pm est last year. Good luck everyone!

I wonder what would be % breakdowns between accepted/waitlisted/rejected. For example something like 50% accepted, 20% waitlisted and 30% rejected. Any theories on this matter? )

From the Wharton website:

"Criteria for selection of awards may include academic achievement, compelling leadership, exceptional professional development, and unique personal qualities. There is no formal fellowship application; all admitted students are reviewed by the Fellowship Committee to identify and select the best recipients. Notification of fellowship support is then included with the admissions decision."
