Not sure what you're talking about. I filled out enrollment form and didn't need a 9 digit number (other then my ss#). Where are you seeing that?

The 9 digit number is for international students to be used in lieu of ssn. I received mine through an email sent by W

Gents,

Do I need to send Wharton my official transcripts or anything in a paper mode?
I thought they need only on-line documents... no?

They don't ask for official transcript until you enroll. During application, unofficial or self-reported transcript is fine. It should be scanned in and uploaded through the apply yourself website.

Thanks. My transcripts are not in English - just another language.

According to you, I should:
1). Calculate my score and self-report it.
2). Scan transcripts and upload through apply-yourself website, right?

But will they understand my transcripts with another language?

That I'm not sure about. I'm sure they deal with transcripts in other languages all the time, but I would either call them or else I defer to someone on this thread who has submitted a foreign language transcript.

I did translate my transcripts. It is not said somewhere in the application form?

You can ask the AdCom, but probably they are in the Bahamas at this moment.

Is that your student ID number? I'm an international student but I haven't received the 9 digit number, although I do have a social security number. However, I got a link to where I can start the visa processing but I need the 9 digit student ID number for that which I don't have yet. When did you receive yours?

From Wharton's website: https://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admissions/international-applicants.cfm

Quote:
If academic records and diplomas are not issued in English by the institution, submit both the official record and an authorized English translation.
So we must provide a translation of the transcripts. I guess that for self-reported transcripts we can do the translation ourselves. Only when the school will request the real papers, then an official translator must do the work.

Staind, I just used my SSN and it worked. They probably only send it to you if you don't have a SSN.
