My online app still states "Submitted". The email talks about "Received" or "Complete - Round Two". Should I panic or should I wait a little before doing so? I did apply within the last 24hr of the deadline though.

You should definitely NOT panic now! They got 60% of their applications within the 24 hrs of the deadline. I submitted mine back in December, so they probably processed mine with the other early people. They say not to worry until January 18, so I'd wait until then to panic...

Mine says complete too :). But, I submitted at 1am yesterday. The emails says to wait two weeks before panicking.

My suggestion how to cope with "waiting-stress". Oh yes you may give me kudos.

Imagine that you will be dinged. Any worries now? nope :)
If admitted, you will be even happier.

smh. My worry would be that my job wrote my position off the department's budget. I have to get in somewhere. It's out of my hands until interviews.

Good luck guys! I can't believe I was in your place just a couple of months ago and now I'm on the other side. I know its easier said than done but time passes by really quickly if you keep yourself busy with something or the other!

When I went back to view the essays in my application, I noticed blank pages. Has anyone else had the same issue?

Don't worry, three hours before my Wharton submit click, I went to meet my boss to get my package - and it was not a bonus....
I'm banking on b-school too!

Guys,

There is a public holiday in Russia from December 31 to January 09 inclusive and
one of my recommenders, my current supervisor, will be able to upload the recommendation only the very first working day, January 10.

Do you know, how long it usually takes Adcoms to check all the applications for completness? Frankly, I'm a little worried about this. May be I should write Adcoms and kindly ask them to to check my application till January 10? Booth is very frienldy in this respect, but here is Wharton...

According to S2S forum, the time limit is not specified :(

I would suggest calling them tomorrow and letting them know about your situation. And if they don't check your application tomorrow then you should be safe since I doubt they would do anything over the weekend.

just be sure that what you tell them is correct. Are you sure Dec 31 to Jan 9 are public holidays in Russia? or is your recommender is simply off work?

I was surprised reading you about having 10 days public holidays, so too can be the Adcom:

Actually, 95% of Russian management does not work this time, although not every day is listed as public holiday. The information from Wiki you provided is more or less correct:
New Year holidays and ChristmasNew Year is the first on the calendar and in popularity. New Year holidays (Новогодние каникулы Novogodnie kanikuly) in Russia last for 10 calendar days from the 1st of January until the 10th.

I'm thinking about the following: is it better to call/e-mail them or it's better not to draw attention to the issue, because there is a big chance that my application will not be checked for the completness this week?

I would say call so you at least got to tell them the situation and I doubt they would push it to R3 if indeed everything can be done on Jan10...

I think so.
Even Booth told me that 3-4 days is OK.
