Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released. folks, i'm a little confused.

i keep reading "in for R2" but i thought interviews haven't been released yet? are people just saying that they got their applications in or people getting in already?

Jane2011 - these folks are just stating that they have submitted their applications in R2. This is primarily for later determining statistics for the round (i.e. admitted, waitlisted etc)

Just spoke with someone who called the admissions office. When asked whether waitlist decisions will be released only on March 24th, their answer was "we cannot disclose any info re waitlist."

So I guess there is still hope that we may hear on Feb. 4th or the 18th.

so on the chat last night some people tried to inquire about the waitlist decision dates and the questions were complete ignored...I am wondering what this means and why, unlike other schools such as HBS, Booth, etc., they cannot be a little more transparent re: the waitlist.

Folks,

I'm a bit confused here. I saw some discussion regarding interview invites for Round 2 being released only on two dates Feb 4 and 18th. However, the email we received after application submission states categorically,

"The Admissions Committee will begin to release interview invitations on Friday, February 4th and will continue to release invitations on a daily basis until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, February 18th. Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released."

Now the above statement from the admissions office leads me to believe the interviews would be on a rolling basis between Feb 4 - Feb 18 (notice the use of the word daily). If you have other information for your perspectives, please do enlighten me.

Btw, I am in for Round 2! Good Luck everyone

Someone called the admissions office and confirmed it will be just those two dates - if you read some of the earlier posts you should come across the post confirming the process.

If I haven't received an email from Wharton should I be concerned? I haven't regulary checked this thread so I'm not up to speed with what has gone out. My submission status still looks fine

Hey guys,

based on my observation (with a very small sample pool), the number of applicants are down this year compare to 2008-2010. That means less competition in the pool.

Is that what you see around you as well?

And this makes sence because Adcoms also read this thread and the more we talk about them and disclose our bio, the more problems for themselves we generate.
