Has any international applicant who's last name starts with R, has a 750 GMAT, a 3.6 GPA in accounting from a public top ten undergrad bschool, has a CPA, and works for the Big 4 got an invite? If so, I'm dooooomed!

Man. Getting through this weekend has been b.r.u.t.a.l.

But I like Wharton though. There is nothing to question - wait for their decisions on 2 Fridays. Yale is cruel in that aspect.

I guess we will see on Friday. I would like to apologize last year's applicants wuss for getting jittery. :P I feel your pain.

I will get through Mon to Thurs looking at Yale and Booth. Good luck to everybody.

Okay , I just got off the phone with the admissions office. Invites will be sent at or after 4 pm EST , no invites have yet been sent out.
Not getting an invite today does not diminish your chances , because the admissions officers might not have read your application yet . If there is no invite by Nov 5th , that means that you are in trouble.
Hope this helps.

You scored a ton of Kudos with this one post. Impressive!
Thank you for sharing the news.

just spoke with the admissions office and invitations will be released only on Oct. 29th and Nov. 5th not during the rest of the week.

Just an FYI for everyone.

Any word on the amount of slots left? Does Wharton do it like HBS where we can try to estimate, or is it just not worth it to try to figure it out?

Now this may be a bad theory, but it seems like when Harvard's invitations went out there was an unbelievable wave of people who posted that they received invitations. It seemed much less of that on this Friday for Wharton and they have been very clear to say that invitations will be sent out on both days. I have a feeling it will be pretty evenly split, though maybe I am just optimistic.

Hi!

I'm another candidate who got a first day Harvard invite, but didnot hear anything from Wharton last Friday. Really thankful to you for spreading this optimism :)

Are you asking if people actually know or if they're willing to wildly speculate (two different questions). Knowing a % means you have to know the total amount, which no one does.

I feel everyone's anxiety, but think it this way - the past is a good indicator of the future, not THE indicator. Analyzing past data is mostly about trying to feel optimistic and calm. At least for me, I rather underpromise and overdeliver to myself. That's mentally better in long run.

I probably read the Round One information e-mail from W 20 times by now.

I realized that getting an e-mail itself won't be a good news this Friday, as they send out the bad ones on the same date. Only thing that I wish is that they don't send out the e-mails as late as they did last week. That was a wild mood swing. I temporarily felt the need for Yes on Prop 19.

question for those who got invites last week:

are any of you doing an alumni interview? I wont be able to make it to campus on a weekday so have to do an alumni interview. I emailed the person I wanted to interview with as instructed on Friday afternoon - but still no word back... when is it appropriate to re-email or ask admissions? I'm so impatient haha.

and GOOD LUCK to everyone this friday!! sending lots of positive vibes..
