Perhaps. We have 46 people from GmatClub on the waitlist. That's a good chunk, and we're saying NONE of them got admitted and came here to tell us? Two alternatives: 1) It's all trolls or 2)They are indeed admitting people off the WL this week, but the number is so small that it's really nothing to get worked up about. I favor the latter.
heard back from the current student that the calls he was supposed to make were not in fact to waitlisters but to already admitted R1's to clarify any questions they had...so no calls were made.
so looks like we will be in for the long wait until march 24th...even though the first deposit date is tomorrow so they will have a better idea of their round 1 yield, I have a feeling we still probably won't hear anything as they seem to still be getting through R2 apps.
I met 5+ Booth admits that were also Wharton waitlisters at the Booth welcome weekend. 2 of them were my nationality (its an uncommon nationality). Everyone was commenting on the huge waitlist this year. I have a feeling Wharton will either process a lot of their waitlist decisions by March 24 or they will loose a whole lot of waitlisters to other schools.
Has anyone heard of any admits off the waitlist over the past few weeks? In past years people have been taken off the waitlist at various key dates, like after all invites were sent out, when R1 deposits were due, and when all R2 interviews were finished.
Everyone back to Ankur on myWharton? I know the picture change means absolutely nothing right now, but I think it's comforting to know that they didn't forget about us.

so for those of us on the waitlist...should we be expecting to receive a phone call if we get in on the 24th? Or just online?

Wharton is not as consistent about phone calls as other schools. You may get a call, or you may not if you get in. You don't really know until the app shows you the outcome.
In other news, we are only 10 days away from that day. Much better than 10 weeks, isn't it? See you guys in the chat.
