Personally I'm hoping there will be some movement on the waitlist around the 11th as well.

Anecdotal evidence (speaking to a few consultants) suggests that the R1 waitlist is quite large compared to actual admits. Who knows what this means in practice, but based on previous years' threads there were a few movements from waitlist to admit in February/March.

Good luck to R1 waitlisters and R2 (hopeful) invitees. Do not envy you that feeling right now! :P

Well, I can only attend one of them so will be freeing up space at the others for you.

And, if you read my blog, you'll see that last season I got FIVE DINGS so feel I am due some reward!

Best of luck to you my friend

Can anybody tell me about the process after invites are sent out next Wednesday? I'm traveling for work next week, have a meeting Wednesday morning, and will likely be in the air for the majority of the afternoon. I'm nervous it'll be a mad dash to reserve TBD times and I'll be left with scraps at the end.

Of course, Wharton is a reach for me, so I'm not assuming I'll get an invite. I'm just planning for the off-chance that I do.

Invited to booth interview, denied without one at CBS. I feel like Wharton is going to be another (D), but I'm left puzzled.

Sort of in the same boat, just the CBS ding is yet to be made formal.

How did your booth interview go btw?

Alright. Good for you I guess. More time to prepare and less time for the agony of waiting for the result.

I almost wish I could do it sooner so I wouldn't have to hear back from almost certain rejections from Haas and Sloan to shake my confidence beforehand. Well, next week should be illuminating. Wharton sends out a lot of interview invites - just like Booth - and rejects a bit more than half. It should be a bit better odds than a just before deadline application to CBS, with its rolling admissions I really hope that was the killer and not my career goals...

Call from Booth and almost certain rejections from Haas and Sloan? Sounds too self-critical. :P

And considering the guys being rejected in the cbs thread, god knows what exactly they are looking for. I had not been able to sleep for four days waiting for cbs mail but now tht dingville seems like the next stop, I can atleast sleep in peace.

Would submitting at sharp deadline really hurt the chances much. I also submitted at almost the last minute of jan 7 deadline.

I got my invite at 12:46 PM PST and was able to sign up immediately. I signed up within 20 minutes on my phone so I'm not sure if it was a mad dash. Thankfully, the server did not crash as with other schools. We had roughly 7 days to sign up. I chose to interview in SF (highly recommend for those who've always lived in the West). Hope this helped a bit and good luck!

I also signed up pretty quickly after getting my invite but would be surprised if it was a mad dash. The fact that there will be 4-5 other applicants in your TBD increases the odds that there will be an acceptable time slot for you.

As an international applicant, there were 3-5 days (I can't remember exactly) days in London so plenty of choice. No harm in planning ahead! Good luck!

I am so glad that the 11th is just around the corner, but at the same time the wait is killing me!

I haven't really had any luck so far so I am not expecting an interview, but all I want is one right now..:/

Don't worry, there will be several time slots open for you to sign up. When I went through it last year I don't remember having issues with slots running out. The team based discussion is tough because you need to balance sounding intelligent with working well in a team with a group of people you don't know at all. I think it helps to show up early and meet as many people in the waiting room as you can in case you are placed with them. Even if you do get an interview invite, the acceptance rate is still below 50% at Wharton.

Good luck!

Hey, does Wharton release all interview decisions on 11th at a particular time (a la HBS) or is it more of a rolling structure in the last couple of days?

Hi Pway, per the email sent out by Wharton when I submitted my application:
"The Admissions Committee will release interview invitations on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. On February 11th, the Committee will also release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission."

It's a la HBS.

Good Luck! I really want Wharton and hope I can an interview call!! Fingers crossed.
