People come to Wharton to do interviews already. One such lucky applicant sat on my OPIM class today in the morning and he looked completely stressed out and disengaged; I talked to a few of my Cohort mates about the guy - everyone thought it was not a good thing to do: the Vice Dean teaches the class, and the last thing you want to do is to send that type of signal all the way to the top of the school. Guys, at least try to appear enthusiastic about the classes when you visit. Just my $.02 for those who come to campus for interviews.
Well I somewhat disagree: first of all the vice-dean doesn't intervene in the selection process to the extent of my knowledge (if he does then that guy could be in trouble because he remembers people). Secondly, unless you're literally falling asleep in front of Anjani (the VD), you'll be fine. Thirdly, I personally don't care how a prospect behaves in class as long as he's quiet, polite and looks awake (falling asleep is an student privilege

); I think a lot of students think in the same lines. Plus who cares about what 1st year students think anyway, they won't be evaluating your candidature.
Finally D, you'll have to admit that OPIM can be quite... soporific! Even though I like it I find it hard not to fall asleep sometimes...
PS: a small tip for visitors: if you do fall in Anjani Jain's class, be aware that he will ask you to introduce yourself, so have something ready. D, I imagine that the student looked stressed out when he introduced himself? (because otherwise there is no interaction between the prospect and the class). Plus I can understand that he's stressed out, I would be too!
