There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
To any Round 1 admits who can hopefully pitch in on this:
Did you find any correlation to getting admitted and having received a response from your interviewer to your thank you email?
To paraphrase, did anyone receive a response from their interviewer but got dinged?
Guys, RELAX! Correlations are irrelevant at this point. We are 3 days away from the announcement date and 2 days from when they may start calling people with scholarships. There is nothing that can be done from this point on to change the outcome - so might as well stop torturing yourself!
whartonalltheway to answer your question - I have not heard of a single person who got a response to their thank-you from an interviewer in R2. If you did, feel lucky but not forewarned. I have heard of interviewers knowing a little before the result announcement date if you are admitted or not, but by policy they are likely not allowed to share that. The interviewer plays NO part in the adcom's decision after they submit the interview report. I heard that even with on-campus interviews, the person who interviews you is deliberately taken out of the group that decides your fate afterwards.
There is little time left between now and decision day. Try not to think about it and just enjoy life. You will have plenty of time to worry about things on the 26th.

Well said. I have too many other work and personal stresses to worry about anyway with this whole admit stress - I wish they would call like other schools, at least that would mean something. I am sorta prepared for a ding considering my far out profile (and no, I am an eternal optimist)...
Anyone else compulsively checking the forum on the off chance that someone reports a REALLY early call or information??
It's so dumb--I KNOW that this won't happen before Thursday at the earliest, but this week is crawling by and I really really want to know!!
Good luck to everyone this week.
I think that's pretty normal... It sounds like Wharton fixed the checkbox issue on the MyWharton page for you guys. During R1 we found out about 48 hours before decisions were set to be released because they had a glitch on the website that allowed everyone to figure out whether they had been admitted or not. It pretty much made us all insane for a couple days. Hope you get a good outcome though.
Anyone else's "Recommendations Received" box not checked off on their MyWharton page?

Mine isn't checked either- I asked about it on the S2S blog on Monday and they responded that the recommendations had definitely been received if we had been offered an interview.
Is reaching out to your interviewer worth it? (As per what I have been reading, it seems most of the interviewers know the fate of their interviewees, a few days ahead of the official decision deadline.)

Yeah, it's strange that some interviewers seemed to know the decision beforehand... My interviewer explicitly said adcom does not tell interviewers the decision beforehand and to let her know how it ends up. Either way, probably not the best idea to email them and rub them the wrong way when the wait is only another excrutiating two days.

Yeah, these two days are probably going to kill me...make me loose a few years of my life due to all the stress.
Does anyone know how the decisions will be released? Will it be one of those emails telling you that a decision has been rendered and that to view it, you need to log onto the Application website?
Seems like the applyyourself website has some bandwidth limitations. It can only accommodate so many people at a time.
so...take it for what its worth...but a very close friend of mine who is a first year at Wharton had a very quick chat with JJ this morning. From his information he said that friday is the day... they are supposedly trending away from the calling process... at the end of the day...if you get a call tomorrow..it can only be good news...but if you dont get a call...it does not mean game over...most people i know found out through the website... im not gonna freak myself out tomorrow (watch me crap my pants tomorrow)...but friday is gonna be painful for sure...

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this.
I'm sure I will still be freaking out tomorrow. Especially if anyone posts an "I got the call" regardless of what JJ may have said. Good luck everyone. At least it will be over in 2 days!

Just got the error message "We are unable to process your login request this time, please try again later or contact technical support." when trying to log into the Apply/Check Status site. Looks like something is happening in the background...
