Doesn’t mean you are right.
It is very easily verifiable through LinkedIn or discussions with Post-MBA IB Associates.

I think I mentioned that some firms and specifically some boutique banks.
This is from my alumin and networking experience. Happy to be proven wrong in that front and not here to debate.

Boutique banks do not require CFA. I personally know several friends who attended Columbia or Wharton and joined Evercore, Moelis, Lazard, Guggenheim etc.

And I asked that same question. The answer was the same of all : CFA is not required.

I think the conclusion would be that CFA is a great thing to have, and nobody can invalidate your personal experience.

The essence of the group is to discuss and necessarily argue. I honestly appreciate your perspective and @StanLeRoi612’s

Just as a signal for your academic rigor you can pursue CFA, but it's not a must have
Oh and if someone want to transition to PE/VC from MBB, is it something that adds on value?

U can get better answers by self navigating on such topics
Do ur own research
As careers as not linears
To each is own

Yeah careers are not linear but I think it's a good idea to ask people about their experiences as well apart from my research

I've done CFA and work in portfolio management. CFA does add value within these roles, less so in investment banking.

Generally, PE (falls under wealth management) firms still prefer an MBA. But sometimes they do hire outside (stellar academics), and CFA could be a good add on.

This is my personal opinion of course
Got it, thanks

I'm definitely curious how Wharton views someone who has done CFA. If anyone knows that.

Very positively I assume. Since they specifically asked in the application about whether or not we passed the CFA

Unlike other business schools (HBS, GSB etc.)

No :-)
Wharton unlike other schools actually publishes their release dates for the interview invites. This year it is Oct 22nd.... an eternity away.

This could have been one of their other (e.g. EMBA) programs for Jan intake maybe?
