aceman, I think it doesn't matter. Unless you live in a place where there are very few alums... then I don't know what they might do. Actually, because you are international, you need to worry less, as they can just have your interview scheduled in your country instead of having you fly to the US.

thanks, actually there are plenty of alums where i live. what i meant was, if they've already given most/all of the international invites out already (R1).

I wonder whether the Adcoms consider applicants from Canada as internationals as far as scheduling interviews and travel arrangements go. I have heard different points of view.
