The waitlist essay-
Mods and current students, what should be the content of this essay?
A few things have obviously happened in the last 3 months which are worth mentioning- both professionaly and personally. There is an activity which is planned but will exceed the timeline mentioned for such an essay. Is the intent good enough content?
Also what are the odds of converting a R2 waitlist (and there are many this time around) for an international candidate?
Does somebody have a theory on-
1. Why so many waitlists? (ran out of time to review all applications !!)
2. The error in the waitlist letter regarding the date of waitlist decision?

I need some help here. I have a few waitlist questions for those who have been accepted/rejected from round 1 waitlist and anyone with insights into Booth waitlist procedures.
A. Does anyone know if it's possible to get off of the waitlist at any time between now and 5/13? Or does adcom only examine waitlisted candidates only after 5/1?
B. Does anyone have any insights into whether the waitlist candidates are ranked or separated in the queue? Or is everyone in the same big ambiguous bucket?
C. Does anyone know if in addition to the generic admissions email alias if there are any other resources for waitlisted candidates? i.e. there is a specialized "waitlist coordinator" at Booth or a number to call?
D. Based on prior year's acceptance and yield rates and this year's forum posting, would anyone care to guesstimate how many people are in the total waitlist (for rd 1 and rd2) and how many spots will eventually open up?
