Hi guys,

Just a quick note - got admitted yeaterday (around 11 o'clock Chicago time).

I am an international, waitlisted from r1.

To be honest I had already given up hope - now I need to decide between two fantastic (neighbouring) schools...

Congratulations to all the admitted students and for those still waiting - don't give up hope!

Waitlisted. Ok now I need a strategy.

My biggest weakness I think was that my quant score was only in the 66th percentile on the GMAT. While I scored a 710 overall, apparently my finance background was not enough to make up for the poor score.

I think I should take the GMAT again at a bare minimum.

What are other types of things that could be significant additions to my profile? Additional letters from my recommenders? Honestly, not a whole lot has changed about my profile since submitting my app. I would certainly appreciate any and all thoughts.

I really felt like I hit it off with my interviewer, so I think I will call her later today to ask for some input.

Thanks

I second that.

Anyone on here who's made it off the waitlist in the past have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Waitlisted. At least they made my decision easier. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Don't worry, you won't be grappling with too many choices when HBS admits you next week :)

Officially dinged. I suspect my less than spectacular interview may have been the nail in the coffin.

It's been a wild ride. Congratulations to all those who made it in! For wait listers, keep at it. Booth is worth the effort. For other dinged applicants, best of luck for your future endeavors. There's something out there for everyone.

I am waitlisted.
I read in a post that last year not many from waitlist were admitted. Can someone verify that.

Were any WL from R1 offered admit in R2?

On the BW forum, you'll notice that there are so many waitlists.. many from R1, including myself.
Also on the same forum, I saw a posting that said last year, 80 out of 180 waitlists were converted to admit..
So I'm trying not to lose hope, although the wait is indeed torturous!!

WL-ed as well...SIGH!

I'm with Maverick on this one. I really don't have the patience to deal with the uncertainity of a WL when I can easily head over to the other great school up north....makes the decision rather easy.
