But they do have an additional week to submit right, although that may delay decisions? I have a note on the app that says they have until Jan 16th. I did not tell them till very late that I was applying to Chicago, mainly because I kept going back and forth on it myself, so I would really like to give them all the time I can.

I have a quick question: Is it looked down upon if you have not maximized the 1500 words in your essay? I am at about 1350 and I am not sure if I can write anymore. have run out of ideas.... :(

Also- how do you guys address the personal goals piece?

Hey. I have also had the same problem. I first tried to maximize to 1500, and then decided to trim the extra BS I had added. If you think you got your point accross, I would advise not to worry about adding words for the hell of it.

Don't worry about it. If you've said all you want to say, leave it be. No one is going to notice 100 words anyway.

Since Chicago doesn't ask a lot about achievements, I try to squeeze in some of my achievements...

Though I had problem trying to get it to flow.

I am reposting this from the Kellogg thread since some people might not read both.

Amazingly ApolloLuna is the only one who got into both Kellogg and GSB. I looked at the lists of applicants and this is the breakdown of overlap...I may have missed one or two though. We had 7 people apply to both, 6 got into at least one. Only one person got into both, and then 3=K and 2=C.

ApolloLuna: Admitted to both Kellogg and GSB (leaning K but GSB might be offering $)
riverripper: Kellogg (ding GSB)
CfaMiami: Kellogg (WL GSB)
faceman: Kellogg (ding GSB)
forcefeed : GSB (WL Kellogg)
burger2001: GSB (WL Kellogg)
Vij101: Neither

GMATClubbers did amazing in for Chicago based school R1, hopefully R2 can continue this trend
Overall for each school:
Kellogg R1: 23 applicants --> Admits: 9 Dings: 11 Waitlist: 3
Chicago R1: 18 applicants --> Admits: 6 Dings: 9 Waitlist: 3

I just submitted my Chicago GSB Application. Since I was dinged by Kellogg, going by GMATClub stats I have a good chance of getting in at Chicago GSB.

Hopefully that carries over to R2...it is amazing though that 6 of 7 got into at least 1. That is a very impressive figure. Good luck.
