on a side note - why does Booth have arguably the worst website among the top 10 schools? I thought they were changing course and not sticking with "if you don't know how good we are, it is your fault" approach!

Also, can anyone comment on the size of Class of 2011? Was it over subscribed? If so, they may take a slightly smaller class for 2012 to optimize the number of students.

First, round 3 applicants are totally more calm than round 2. I was waitlisted in R2 and this thread was overflowing with activity.

Anyhow, just called the admissions office. They said they will not be contacting anyone today. The status should be updated tomorrow (lady said to give it until 11am CST to update) and many of those admitted will receive phone calls as well.

just confirmed with the admissions office - no calls today. online status will be updated at 9am tomorrow.

very strange. Booth has been calling admitted students for both R1 and R2 (including R1 waitlists). So this break seems like a polite way of saying that they aren't really admitting anyone yet and will be either placing students on the summer waitlist and sending them off to explore Plan B!

They said that they will call..but not today. True, in the other rounds they called people a day prior to the actual official decision day. In this case, they said all decisions will go out on the actual day.

Not sure if I would read into it too much. The majority of decisions have already been made so yes, theres probably not a whole of people to call but that is something that everyone on the WL or those who applied R3 are (or should have been) aware of I guess.

Hi guys!

I did my best to stay away of the thread and calm myself by thinking that today was any other day than the "call day"...
but I couldn't resist to log in and read about the lucky ones :-D

Surprisingly, I am reading that there won't be any calls today??? wow!!

As someone said, it could be a polite way of saying: "sorry, but there is no more room, so go an make your deposit on that other school" :shock:
Anyway, I prefer to see the bright side and think that they are still taking decisions today 8-) :-D

Oh!, by the way... R2 was extremely active at this time compared with R3... makes me wonder, how many people applied in R3??? any ideas??

someone at BW claiming to have received a call. I don't believe it since a few of us on GC called Booth and were told that they will not be calling anyone today.

me and my gf both got the call recently. admits in R3 from getting put on R2 Waitlist.

Can barely breathe, and certainly can't think.

Well, I guess they lied about not calling anyone today. Anyone's guess now as to how many ppl they called and what that means for tomorrow's decision.

Is there no end to the frustrations of this process??!

I don't know the official word, but I think it is rash to make an emotional critique of a process discussed on a web forum. I am glad that the call was a surprise, and it made it that much more of a cathartic event as such.

Well, the thing is I called myself - and asked the admissions agent twice to confirm. I also mentioned how I know the official date is tomorrow but during R2, many people got phone calls a day prior to the actual decision day, which would be today for round 3. She assured me that in this round, all decisions would go out tomorrow..both as a status update to your profile and some phone calls to admits. Hence, my frustration.

At the same time, didnt mean to take anything away from the good news that you got..many congrats to you and your girl friend.
