add me as a member of the class of 2012! sent in my deposit and enrollment forms earlier this week.
and for those who are interviewing soon, i just wanted to chime in here. i interviewed with a local alum and received probably 5% of the standard questions that i was overly prepared for. instead, it even started off in an unorthodox manner, with him giving his intro, story of how he got to chicago gsb, followed by my many questions about his experience. then we delved into my story in a conversational, unstructured way. he had no list of questions, only my resume in front of him. and he really probed me on my goals, not because he was testing me, but because he seemed genuinely interested. my interview lasted over an hour, which i heard is also unusual. anyway, so my advice is to prepare as you would for the anticipated questions, but don't be surprised (as i was!) if none of that stuff even comes up! overall it was a pleasant experience, despite that i was caught off-guard with quite a few of the questions. i plan to keep in touch with my interviewer as well.
