I received an email asking me how much more interested I am in staying on the waitlist and how long I would be willing to stay on it. I think that means another 2 weeks of waiting...

I've been on the waitlist since R1 and I applied in August, so we're coming up on 1 year of waiting....

I got the same email. Seems like they haven't rejected anyone. I guess this is pretty much the end of the game and the right time to withdraw from the WL.

omg guys! same e-mail here :?

Well, as I see it the situation is this:
Dear WL,
There is no more room to admit people, but in case someone decides not to show up you'll have a chance in... September??? :x

I am trying to be the most objective that I can, and if any already admitted candidate declined his or her admission and went to another school, then there would be room for some of us. As nobody has received an admit call, the thing seems to be over.

Also, what is that thing of a 2nd deposit? At other schools you make only one deposit and that's it. The following payment is your monthly tuition bill that comes when you are already studying.

We have a "bye bye" deadline for tomorrow. As an international it is really a hard situation for me.

Got the same email. Also an international on a work visa. told them I would need at least 2-3 weeks prior to the semester starting to get a student visa so thats my final date.

anyone know someone who got in yesterday/today?

I wish they would tell us how many people are on the WL. At least that would give us some indication of our chances.

Been on the Waitlist since December. I've sent in 2 additional recommendations, 3 letters with career progression and demonstrating interest and a letter from a current part time student that basically said I influenced his decision to join Booth. Still on the waitlist. Of course I'm not saying that any of the additional information should have certainly put me over the top (maybe adcom felt they didn't fill out what was missing). Chicago remains my top choice for an education and if I have half a chance of getting in I am going to take it.

got a waitlist update too... i've had to make certain commitments at work, so i'm withdrawing my application for this year. will definitely reapply.

I told the admissions office that I would like to stay on the waitlist. They emailed me back and said they would consider this information in "upcoming meetings." I asked when the meetings were and they told me I should receive a decision in 2-3 weeks...

Still waiting. Hopefully they will have clarity on the secondary deposits soon and can make additional decisions.
