At least you should not have any self doubt. I read your blogs and get a picture of a very much eligible candidate.
Seems like GMAT played a major role this year(understandable as app volume is up). As you had 79%ile in QA. Seems like my 69% ile in QA could not be outweighed by 98%ile in Verbal , specially as I belong to that Indian IT male pool.

My only hiccup, unlike you is that, for R1 I applied only to Booth(Not even to Nortwestern which is a few blocks away from where I live)...so that was a very bad decision.

finally joined this forum.

dont dwell on chicag-booth too much, didnt someone say here that a gmatclubber got dinged at chicago and kellogg R1 last year and got in to H/S/W in a later round. lady luck works in mysterious ways. im sure we'll all get in at a school where we'll be happy. good luck y'all!

Just finished an off-campus interview in Buenos Aires. Very conversational and great connection with the interviewer. He was interested in some of the same things as me, so it was easy to hit it off. Here are the questions that I remember...

-walk me through your resume
-why engineering
-talk about a class that you took in college that really changed you in terms of career aspirations
-when did you realize that you were interested in an mba
-why move to argentina
-talk about your exeprience here
-why an mba now
-why chicago
-talk about a group or team that you lead, overcoming challenges, how did the team respond, and you, respond to challenges
-talk about a time that you were in a group and you conflicted with others
-what do you like to do outside of work
-any questions for me?

I suggest calling the admissions interview coordinator. She was pretty responsive when I set up my interview. BTW 20 Nov is dday. wish me luck folks!
