Congrats gregarious.

Sorry to billyjeans and unhedged. At least you have plenty of time to plot your R2 strategy now.

Sorry to hear billyjeans, unhedged and others! :(
I am sure other R1 apps will come through and even more sure your R2 apps will be better as a result of this.

Great post lbiggs! I think everyone should realised that each person will be happy with whatever school he/she gets into, or whatever else he/she does. Just ask Dan Gilbert :)

Congrats to those w interviews. To the dings, keep your head up - this process is a crapshoot, and there are other great schools out there.

I visited today and loved it. Does anyone have the list of recommenders questions? Couldn't find them on this thread.

Just finished an off-campus interview in Buenos Aires. Very conversational and great connection with the interviewer. He was interested in some of the same things as me, so it was easy to hit it off. Here are the questions that I remember...

-walk me through your resume
-why engineering
-talk about a class that you took in college that really changed you in terms of career aspirations
-when did you realize that you were interested in an mba
-why move to argentina
-talk about your exeprience here
-why an mba now
-why chicago
-talk about a group or team that you lead, overcoming challenges, how did the team respond, and you, respond to challenges
-talk about a time that you were in a group and you conflicted with others
-what do you like to do outside of work
-any questions for me?

That is good to hear popper! Did those conducting interviews send the alum their resume in the interview request? Or does Booth send the one they have on file?

You actually upload your resume when you confirm the interview through the applyyourself application portal.

Anybody else not get a response from an alumni interviewer? I have emailed adcom as specified after waiting a bit, but they have not responded yet either. Getting a bit nervous with that 11/30 deadline and Thanksgiving holiday.

Boogs,
I suggest calling the admissions interview coordinator. She was pretty responsive when I set up my interview. BTW 20 Nov is dday. wish me luck folks!
