Admit! :) Recieved an email an hour ago as they could not reach me via phone. I am from Eastern Europe and it is already 23.13 here...
Congratulations.

But that means the curtains are down for me. Sending email to an admit doesn’t fit with what they told maddee -- they would send emails today only to make sure that they are able to inform all the admits today and then dings and WL's tomorrow.

Relax...he is located in Ukraine...probably tried to get him on the phone and could not...you could very likely be positioned lower in the list...

By lower I mean just later...nothing else, I was called very early and I was not awarded any $$...so timing means nothing...

Absolutely right - I am from Ukraine - and I can be the only one from here :) Kurt tried to reach me several times by phone- but did not succeed (do not know why..) and wrote an email. You may be in the list for tomorrow calls - so try to relax ( I know it's not easy)!

Well I decided to hit the gym after work and had an unknown number missed call (11.23 Chicago time). Unfortunately I've got no voicemail function on my phone. Could be Chicago adcom. Could equally be the cable company or some such! Oh well, find out tomorrow I guess.

Congrats to the lucky folks who got calls!

My interviewer came from Australia and told me that she didn't get a call because of the time difference. I'm on the west coast, however, so I guess it's over for me. Back to work on R2

I have mixed feelings. On one hand is what they have told maddee plus the fact that we have only 11 reported admits on gmatclub and I believe there should be more. On the other is the fact that last year they made all the calls on the same day.

I guess we will get to know tomorrow morning. I will hit the gym as well and run six miles so that I am not left with any energy to think about this anymore.

Yeah, I had a feeling Chicago would be real tough this year with the added number of apps, and the over-matriculation last year. They likely reduced the number of offers for more people this year. Oh well, time to keep trucking with the remaining apps.

Bateman - I'm curious. How do you explain a ding at Kellogg but acceptance at Booth/HBS? Is that a bad interview? Did they smell the app as a back-up school? This process baffles me.

He/she is in Australia. They probably just had somebody wait to call him/her so that it would be a decent hour there. I don't think we should take it as hope for us Americans . . . I'm afraid the fat lady has sung. In this case that fat lady is Rose, who is actually quite skinny, but God can she sing!

The tiny sliver of hope I still harbor in my heavy heart is that only 11 people out of 28 interviewed have reported admits. Then again, "reported" is the operative word here.
