Any Round 2 india applicants received invites?

My application status went to "Under Review" a week after the deadline and i've heard nothing yet.

Just saw this. I had received an invite for interview in Feb end.

Does Haas call each accepted applicant? Am curious about the demographcis break-up, the way someone posted an article on no. of people accepted after interview.

Hoping against hope that I get waitlisted next week...

What is your application status description?

Mine is: "Your application for admission to the Berkeley Full-time MBA Program is under review by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted at the decision deadline to see your final admissions decision. "

I wonder if that means no more chance for an interview? Does Haas waitlist candidates without an interview?

My status is the same. If you look at "Status" you should see something like "Under Review".

I believe Haas does indeed WL without interview, based on older threads.

Looking through older threads, I believe Haas does call each accepted applicants. Not sure what you mean by demographics break-up--if you mean what percentage of acceptances Haas calls, I don't think that would be available anywhere and neither is it that relevant.

Last year for R2 calls started going out on Friday...but I think that's because their deadline was either Tuesday or Wednesday. Probably won't see anything go out till Monday. Ohh the agonyyyy

Mine is the exact same wording. I looked through last year's thread and to my pleasant surprise yes a few people were waitlisted without interviewing. I know it's not likely but I sincerely hope.

Okay, so I just went through the final days of R1 back in January. The R1 decision deadline was on Jan 15, which was a Thursday (just like what we're waiting for next week, Thur March 26).

Monday: calls started going out, 2 international applicants.
Tuesday: More calls. A couple east coasters, a couple west coasters, a couple Canadians, and maybe one overseas ("east asia").
Wednesday: Two more calls, both on east coast.
Thursday (decision deadline day): plenty of dings/waitlists, mostly posted in the evening

So what does all this mean? If we R2ers are getting good news next week, it's going to come on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

BUT....there is VERY little data from GMAT Club applicants....only 17 folks from R1 updated their status as "admitted." Considering that there should have been at least 100 or so people admitted for R1, we're getting data from less than 20%. So....just understand that this post is based on little actual data. But at least we know a rough timeline of how things will play out: if admitted, we should expect a call.....if waitlisted/dinged, we'll get an email in the evening on Thursday (indicating a status change on our application).

Good luck guys!

Thanks for the useful summary! Now I don't have to constantly flip in the forum pages as I've been doing :)

Yeah probably won't have any calls today based on R1 pattern...let's see what next week brings!

So would it be safe to assume that if you haven't been invited to interview it's a ding or waitlist w/o interview? My application status still reads: Your application is ready for review, but we may need additional materials before a final decision can be made. Please read the note below, which indicates what is missing from your application. Please feel free to call or e-mail us if you have any questions regarding these documents.

Does anyone think it's possible that they will make a decision without actually reviewing my application?? I know people earlier in the forum mentioned that interview invites did indeed go out through the notification date, but I'm losing hope...

I'm in the exact same boat. My understanding is that it's either a waitlist or a ding at this point... I'm SURE they reviewed the applications and just chose not to extend an interview invite

Same boat as the both of you, except my status is different: "Your application for admission to the Berkeley Full-time MBA Program is under review by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted at the decision deadline to see your final admissions decision. "

I've probably been obsessing a bit too much about this. Hoping for a waitlist!

Anyone know if the waitlisted candidates from R1 can expect to hear anything next week as well?

Same for me as well!

I wanted to thank you all for sharing your experiences. I've been purely an observer so far, and your messages helped me a lot to keep myself calm and find a bit of hope!
Getting so close to the deadline with no interview invite yet, I am extremely disappointed specially because Haas is my top choice and I thought I would be a good fit.

On the good side, this unbelievably difficult wait time is coming to an end soon!

Best of luck to all of you!

mmmm my status is still "interview and review"... based on last year posts this does not seem to be good... all accepted applicants I read seemed to have their status changed back to "under review" after the interview...

Does anyone keep "interview and review" status at this stage??? Fingers crossed!!!!!

Thanks for sharing this. A friend of mine who got admitted R1 said she got the call a couple of days before the deadline so I'm thinking that it will be the same. I wonder if there were any accepts on the actual decision day though? It seems like there weren't based on the above so fingers crossed we all hear some good news early!

FROM Haas Admissions Blog: Alumnus, Backblaze CEO a Berkeley Innovator

Gleb Budman, BS 95, MBA 99, founded his first company during his senior year at Berkeley’s College of Engineering, balancing coursework and student activities with the preparation of business plans and product prototypes.

Today, twenty years later, Budman has earned his MBA, founded three companies, and led the product design from pre-funding through acquisition at two others.

He is currently CEO of Backblaze, a data storage company offering unlimited online backup services for $5/month.

Looking back at his years at Berkeley, Budman emphasizes the value of the connections he has built along the way. He told Berkeley Innovators, “The people I’ve met through Berkeley and Haas have been among the most open, kind, and grounded ones I’ve known." He advice to students? "Get to know your classmates and stay in touch. In addition to being great people to hang out with, they’re likely to be excellent future partners, employees, or investors."
