You guys have any ideas regarding the first essay? The "what matters most to you one." This is extremely vague...it's hard to write something without being too pretentious. In fact Stanford's essays are by far the most vague out of all schools. How do you guys go about brainstorming this?

aceman, I was thinking of just sitting down and brainstorming things that matters to me, things that motivated me throughout the years... and then compare that with my career goals and the themes I want to tell... It's supposed to be a deeply personal essay, and will require you to really look into yourself.
