ok, I slipped... I decided to check my status today for the first time since 10/20, just to see if anything has changed... I got this:

Your application is complete and currently under review.

w00t! I guess that means if no interview invites in November, then I'm probably dinged. Oh well, back to my normal scheduled programming of "not caring" 8-)

Believe me. That "not caring" attitude is not going to last if you dont get an invite by the end of this month. Take it from me, an expert in the interview wait process :wink:

good luck man! I hope we both get interview invites!

I'm actually hoping for a later invite, since I won't have as much time preparing until I get back at the end of November. I haven't even thought about interview preparations yet!

So, I've read the posts that say invites go out over the next month to month and a half, but do they also deny people during this time too? Or, if you're getting dinged do you just find out on the decision deadline in Jan?

My application status changed to "currently under review" on 29th oct.

haven't received an invite yet. I dont think they've started sending invites
in bulk.

waiting anxiously. Happy Dewali (festival of lights)

You'd assume you've been dinged if you haven't been invited to interview close to the deadline, but you only get confirmation on the deadline.

Lepium is right. Stanford does not send out dings until the notification deadline. Nor do they send out admits (or call you personally) until that date. Everything is possible until that date.
