i have mine with a student....should I be worried?????

reading up on UCLA with renewed vigor and my essays too..completely forgot what i wrote in my essays.. and they stink...

when do decisions come out after interview?

And i checked on businessweek that 87% of students admitted were interviewed.. what does that mean... since 45% were called for interviews...

does it mean that out of 45% called for interview, 87% were granted admit..or should i interpret the stat in some other way..

very tensed and utterly confused in life... never felt like this..not even on prom nite..

It means that of all the students that were admitted, 87% were interviewed. 13% were admitted without an interview.

That stat doesn't mean anything. Anderson now interviews all admits. So, no interview = rejection. Also, based on what I saw in R1 and R2, almost everyone who interviewed was admitted. Very few were waitlisted and I dont know of anyone who was rejected after an interview.

bewakoof, maize and blue was pretty obvious, I thought.

Anyways, this was a painful decision and it is fair to say that eventhough Ross was the favorite until 2 weeks ago, UCLA pulled it back to 50-50. During that time, I interacted with a lot of Anderson students and have nothing but great things to say about them. In the end, my wife was given a contingent job offer at the U of M hospital in a specialty position she couldnt refuse. That was the tie-breaker and I will join Ross coming fall...

Congratulations man.. I have heard only good things about ROSS as well! You might see me one of the weekends getting drunk and flirting with Michigan girls. Me and my friends used to go to Ann Arbon during our undergrad days (i went to undergrad in MN), and have nothing but good things to say about MICHIGAN!.. Them girls are fiesty and sometimes arrogant, which bewakoof likes likes!!

and yes BSCHOOL is fantastic as well.. I love how my logic works.. :)

congrats NC! I guess UCLA uses "baby blue" instead of navy blue (like Cal). For a second there I thought you picked the blue and gold of UCLA or Cal! :P

hey guys

i interviewed last week with a year2mba that's already graduated...she was an international student just like i was so we had a lot to talk about.

Pretty conversational interview...I thought it went pretty well...hopefully that translates to an admit.

Does anyone have any idea on when we'd be getting a response?

Gave my interview today.

It was the most hilarious conversation we had.

We talked about GTA 4, economy, election 08, bushisms, microsoft gaming studios, swear words and parties in ucla......

i am sure with an interview like that, i wont be getting into ucla but i ended my season with a bang...

so i asked admissions when i will know the results,, got the usual PC statements. but i am guessing in next 2 weeks. until then its Avi time..

and i got a job offer with an advocacy group in brooklyn.. i will be burning boxers and campaigning outside WTO conventions... if i take the job
