Really wish I have a crystal ball to know the exacts but I believe it’s possibly the impact your experience and profile will have on the class in general and the chances that you will a successful candidate that would bring prestige to the school and Alumni…. Who has a crystal ball?

What kind of internship opportunities a prospective student interested in Entreprenuership can go for, please?

Hi. Current students are probably very busy recruiting at the moment. The best way to reach out is through the school website or LinkedIn through your network.

In terms of internship opportunities for entrepreneurship, you would look at startups. Likely downside is going to be low pay or even deferred pay in some cases… Depends on the situation. Start up internships are tricky - You will have to find them in network. Maybe there are some alums that are starting a business or a club or else but frankly, I think it shouldn’t be hard to find an internship, finding a well paid internship is going to be very hard.

Consulting is the most popular and desired function for business school graduates looking for job internships. Depending on the program, anywhere from 20 to 40% get recruited but probably half of these are MBB and the other half is second tier firms. Even though 20 to 40% get recruited, probably 80 to 100% apply so you have to be better than the other half of the students in the program so to speak to get through. The chances of success depend on how you stick up to the rest and how will you do on the interview or the many rounds of interviews. To be realistic, I wouldn’t take any opportunities for granted unless you have consulting background already in the net case it should be easier.

I guess, it will make sense to the ADCOM if I present a story where I explain that I am interested in an internship in a startup rather than a consulting company.

I was considering consulting because it will give one the opportunity to work in many industries and have a substitute path.
