Can I take GMAT at later date and update it for IIM applicat

I am not getting any slot to take GMAT online before the deadlines of IIMs. I think my current score of 660 is not enough for IIMs. Can someone advice on this query? Should I go with my current score or should I not apply.

The application fees for the BSchool are too high so it's a concern for me.

Your GMAT score is below the average GMAT for IIMs. That being said, GMAT score constitutes only 20% of your application. Submit your application when you feel confident.
R3 will usually be competitive.
Or you can prepare for GMAT and then apply in R1 next year.

Be ready with your prep and keep checking for slots every few hours, its common that last minute slots are available.

Updating a score on a later date is not allowed.

If I was in your place, I would still go ahead and apply with the 660, no harm in trying. You would get to experience the admission process (worst case scenario).

If you can score better, it will always help!! Otherwise I feel you should wait. After attending the information sessions, I got a feeling that IIMs are very academic heavy in selection. But on the other hand, if you think your profile is too outstanding, then may be you can give it a try. Though, R3 is going to be very hard nonetheless.
