Hi everyone,
I took my GMAT test yesterday and accepted the score, which I understand will be submitted to 5 schools that I selected prior to the test.
Now, I have changed my mind and would like to submit to only 1 school out of those 5 schools.
Is that possible for me to cancel the submission to the other 4 schools and only submitted to that 1 particular school?
Or, do I have to cancel my score, reinstate it, and then order a score report to be submitted?
Also, if i submitted the score to just even 1 school, will other schools that I apply to next year be able to see this score also??
I plan to submit the score to only 1 school for this year, and if do not get accepted, I will take the GMAT again next year to improve my score and apply to more schools.

1. Selecting those 5 schools just makes your GMAT score available to them. It does not compel you to apply to any of them.
2. Sending a score to a school but not applying is fine.
3. If you want to use this score at all, you cannot cancel it.
4. As far as I know, it is not possible to cancel some of the 5 selections. Either all + the score (by cancelling the attempt altogether) or none. But I suggest you reach out to the Pearson support team for this.
5. Any school you selected will be able to see this score as long as it is valid (5 years).
I think you should go ahead and apply to any school(s) that you want to apply to, without worrying about who will get to see this score in the future. This is not something you need to get struck off your juvenile record

What happens when you cancel your scores?
Your scores will not be sent to any of the schools you selected.
You will not receive a printed copy of your unofficial scores at the test center.
You will not be able to access your official score report.
You must wait 16 calendar days to retake the exam. If you purchase an Additional Score Report within the 72-hour cancellation period, you will not be able to cancel your score online.
Your score may also be cancelled at the sole discretion of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the global non-profit council of business schools and administrator of the GMAT exam, and/or Pearson VUE.
Can I reinstate my score if I cancel it?
Yes, you may reinstate a previously canceled score for a fee. To reinstate your score, log into your mba.com account.
Note the following:
Canceled scores can be reinstated up to four years and 11 months from the exam date. (This time frame accounts for the five-year validity of a GMAT exam score, with a one month allowance for processing.)
Only exams taken on or after January 1, 2014 are eligible for reinstatement.
If a score is reinstated, the score report will be sent to the initial list of schools that you selected on test day. You cannot modify the list. You will, however, be able to be able to view the list of schools receiving your reinstated score prior to confirming the reinstatement.
You can purchase Additional Score Reports to send your reinstated scores to other schools.
