I appeared for GMAT on 28th Oct'21 and I scored 670, with Q49, V33 and IR 6.
I am 33 years old, Widow-Single Parent. My traget B-Schools are HEC Paris, IMD and LBS.
I completed my PGDM-HR from BIMM, Pune in 2010-12.
After that I joined my first job, with Teleperformance, as HR Business Partner, I worked for 2 years, I got a couple of promotions there. But after two years my Doctor advised me to complete bedrest in the starting phase of my Pregnancy, So I took a break and as there was nobody at home to take care of my child my career break continued. When my Kid was 2.5 years old, I lost my husband and consequently I had to start working after almost 4 years of gap. So as per Indian market and situation I had to start working almost as a fresher, in that situation I started working with the first opportunity that I got, which was with eNoah iSolutions pvt ltd, a small scale company, but I had a key role, as the company was new in my City, I had to take up multiple roles along with HR. I took care of end to end HR, including recruitment, payroll, employee engagement, benefits and grievance handling, and I also took up the Admin role, which also included moving to a new premise and regular admin work. When I joined the employee strength there was 20, and when I left the organization after 1 year, the strength was 150.
After 1 year as I had to relocate, So I joined my current organization Yash Technologies, Pune, as a technical recruiter. Here, I got an opportunity to work as SAP SuccessFactors HCM Functional consultant, which is my current role. I am presently working on various projects for clients based out in the US, Europe and other countries. I have been working with Yash for 3 years.
My total work experience is almost 6 years now.
During my tenure in both the organizations where I worked in HR function I played a key role in organizing and coordinating various events. I did lead the CSR activities for our location just after completing 1 year with the organization, because of my efforts and interest management gave me this opportunity. I also got a chance to lead employee engagement surveys and other surveys such as great place to work etc because of management's faith in me.
My scores throughout my education have been average, but I have been active in various Extracurricular activities specially sports, such as basketball. I was also elected to represent my school as School Leader and as House Captain.
When it comes to why I want to do MBA now, my answer is because of the career break I am not working in the position where I should have been. Also, I feel a gap and feel the need to update myself as per the emerging trends and current market scenario. And I believe rather than just working in transactional roles I can contribute more by working in a strategic position for various reasons such as, What I have gone through in my life has made me emerge as a stronger personality. I feel confident to face any challenge in life or career and as I am a single mother now, I have more responsibilities now towards my home and child. So I think an MBA is the best thing I can pursue at this point in my life.
Looking forward for response.
