Anyone else sailing the same boat or have any insights on whether:
1. US B-schools accept CA without an undergrad?
2. Any other B-school outside of India
In India, ISB does accept CAs without needing an undergrad degree, and it is a target school, but I find myself at a crushing loss when it comes to evaluating any school outside of India due to this handicap(?). Also, CA is benchmarked by NARIC UK as RQF
I have requested WES for an evaluation, but the Insitute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) takes about 45 days to send the transcripts to WES for evaluation, so while I wait, it would be helpful to know.
Would be grateful if anyone can share their experiences/views?
Zeejah This is a pretty unique situation, but I run into 2-3 applicants every year who come forward with great profiles but no university degrees. I have always advised applicants to talk to the schools they are interested in directly. Some reported back with positive responses from schools like INSEAD. Although I understand some US schools can be more conservative about it.
One of the most overlooked opportunities for applicants is to not approach schools with critical questions that can significantly impact their application. It is advisable to discuss your situation with a member of the admissions committee to express your interest and get an honest response about your profile and your decision to apply only with CA. Any advice you receive here may be based on previous use cases, but in your particular case it would still be speculation.
