Is it a big deal to put down on your application president instead of co-president of a club/organization?

If your real title is Co-President, I wouldn't put down President. Can you imagine how horrible it would feel to get in somewhere and have your offer rescinded during the background check?

I believe that you should tell the absolute truth (and say co-president), if for no other reason than to show respect for all those actual, outright presidents out there by not diluting the population.

Agree with KF, don't misrepresent your past, the devil is in the details. The last thing you want is an EC hurting your chances for an admit.
And co-president sounds pretty good!

Yeah just keep it real. Anyhow, what advantage would you get from removing the 'co'? Not that much.

I actually could see a plus to including the "co" in president, shows that you can work with others and lead with others.
