Hello all,

Trust you are doing good. I am looking to pursue MSBA (preferably) or MIS program in the USA. I have a GMAT of 700 (V38, Q47, IR-8, AWA-5) and yet to take the English test, although I am pretty confident. I also have a Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from JNTU-H, India.

I am absolutely confused and unable to decide what colleges can be considered 'safe' vs. 'ambitious'. I have been Googling options for the past 2 weeks and it has only resulted in anxiety. I did shortlist CMU Heinz College (MIS), Georgia Tech (MSBA), TAMU (MIS).

I am now looking to the community for some expert opinions and I would be really grateful if you are able to point me in the right direction with some good recommendations!!

Hi, impressed by your profile :D
for your questions, I think you should be more specific about what you want and your background in term of professional experience and long term career goal.
For example, if finance is a problem, you should consider MBA because the scholarship basket of MBA is much more than that of MIS, MSBA.
Or if your experience is below 2 years, then MBA is not a good choice.

Hope it help.
Gudluk!
^^

Hi There,

Thank you for the feedback. I should have been more prescriptive in my original post. I work at one of the Big 4 firms as a risk advisory consultant. I have about 50 months of work experience and I am looking to dive into the field of data analytics or technology. I feel that a regular MBA is not my thing and I came to that realization as I was applying for ISB. My goal is to be at the intersection of business and management and be in a position where I can help organizations leverage the power of data driven insights.

P.S: Thank you for linking me to the tool!
