I can understand your situation.. coz i've been in a similar one not too long ago. Here is my thread and there is a reply by Paul Lanzillotti:

I was actually very distracted, which was why I feel like I didn't do as well as I thought I could have. On the other hand, I guess I am mature enough to realize that curling up on the testing room floor and bawling my eyes out probably wouldn't have been too good for my future either.

So like I mentioned, I'm not going to retake it for now, but would probably consider it after I finished all my essays. We'll see!

you need to retake. 760 is pathetic
Agreed, based on his name he is from the mainland. Average is about 785.

I resent your comment. I was born and raised in Indiana, so unless you meant mainland US, I suggest you keep your mouth closed.

I'd do it if i were u. I'll go bonkers if I fall far short of what I think I'm truly capable of. If possible do it without having ur scores sent to ur target schools. If u meet ur goal, say a 790/800 then go ahead and send additional score reports to ur target schools. Ill adopt that approach If I'm in your position.

This is understandable. I feel like that sometimes. I'd get a 98% on my exam, and I could've gotten a 100% had I not made a stupid mistake and written that 8*3 = 11. But you also have to realize that your score is already in the 99th percentile. Retaking would just seem like you're score obsessed. You can, however, take the test to satisfy yourself, but ask yourself if it's worth the $250 and additional preparation time that you can devote to your essays instead. I wouldn't retake, but that's my $0.02

With that score, you might be able to get a full scholarship to Duke's MBA program.
